EE is the UK's largest mobile network by coverage, owned by BT Group. It operates its own independent network infrastructure and was the first UK carrier to launch 4G (in 2012) and one of the first with widespread 5G coverage. EE's APN uses a single, memorable value — everywhere — for both mobile data and as the base for MMS configuration. If your EE SIM is in a new phone, a refurbished handset, or one that was previously on a different network, you may need to enter these settings manually.

How to Set EE APN on Android

  1. Open Settings on your Android phone.
  2. Tap Connections (on Samsung devices) or Network & Internet (on stock Android / Google Pixel).
  3. Tap Mobile networks.
  4. Tap Access Point Names (APN).
  5. Tap the + (plus) button or the Add option to create a new APN entry.
  6. Enter each value from the table above exactly as shown. Pay particular attention to the APN field (everywhere) and the MCC/MNC values.
  7. Tap the ⋮ menu (three dots, top-right) then tap Save.
  8. Back in the APN list, tap the radio button next to the EE APN you just created to select it as the active profile.
  9. Restart your phone to apply the changes. Alternatively, toggle Aeroplane Mode on for 10 seconds, then off.

How to Set EE APN on iPhone / iOS

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Mobile Data (also labelled Cellular on some iOS versions).
  3. Tap Mobile Data Network (or Cellular Data Network). If this option is not visible, your carrier may push settings automatically — see the troubleshooting section below.
  4. Under the Mobile Data section at the top, enter everywhere in the APN field.
  5. Scroll to the MMS section and enter: MMSC = http://mms/, MMS Proxy = 193.113.200.195, MMS Port = 8080.
  6. Press the Home button or swipe up to exit Settings. You do not need to tap a Save button — iOS saves automatically.
  7. Toggle Aeroplane Mode on for 10 seconds, then off to reset your connection.
  8. Test by opening a website in Safari. If you can browse, the APN is working correctly.

Which Phones Do These Settings Work On?

These EE APN settings work on all Android phones (Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, OnePlus, Motorola, Xiaomi, Sony, and others) running Android 8 or later, and all iPhones running iOS 14 or later. They also work on older devices, but the menu path may differ slightly. On Android 12+, you may find APN settings under Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → [your SIM] → Access Point Names. On dual-SIM phones, make sure you are editing the APN for the SIM slot containing your EE SIM card.

EE APN Troubleshooting

This usually means EE is pushing configuration to your phone automatically via the SIM. Try removing your SIM for 30 seconds and reinserting it — this often resets the lock. On Samsung devices, you may need to go to Settings → General Management → Reset → Reset Network Settings first. Note: resetting network settings will also clear your Wi-Fi passwords.
First, check that the EE APN is actually selected (the radio button should be filled next to it in the APN list). Then check that mobile data is toggled on in your quick settings panel. Also check your EE account hasn't run out of data — EE will throttle or block data access when your allowance is used. If you're on a pay-as-you-go plan, confirm you have active data credit.
MMS on EE requires the MMSC, MMS Proxy, and MMS Port values to be set correctly. Double-check that your MMSC is exactly http://mms/ (with a trailing slash), MMS Proxy is 193.113.200.195, and MMS Port is 8080. MMS also requires mobile data to be active — it cannot be sent over Wi-Fi. Temporarily disabling Wi-Fi forces your phone to use mobile data for MMS.
If your APN settings reset each time you restart, this is typically caused by the SIM card overriding the phone's stored settings. This can happen on some EE SIMs that push "over-the-air" configuration. Contact EE customer support and ask them to disable OTA configuration pushes for your account, or request a replacement SIM if the issue persists.
A "No service" message after changing APN settings usually means the MCC or MNC values are wrong. For EE, MCC should be 234 and MNC should be 30. Also check you haven't accidentally changed the "APN Protocol" to IPv6-only — this can cause connectivity issues on older devices. Set Protocol to IPv4/IPv6 for broadest compatibility. If "No service" persists, reset network settings and re-enter the APN values.
