SMARTY is a UK MVNO that runs on Three's network and is actually owned by Three's parent company, CK Hutchison Holdings. SMARTY is known for its transparent pricing model: it doesn't tie customers into long contracts, and it gives refunds for unused data at the end of each month. SMARTY supports 5G on compatible plans and devices, which is relatively unusual for a budget MVNO. SMARTY's APN — smarty.co.uk — is clean and simple, requiring no authentication credentials. SMARTY uses Three's MMS infrastructure, so the MMSC and proxy values are the same as Three's. SMARTY SIMs are managed entirely through the SMARTY website and app, with no physical stores.

SMARTY APN Troubleshooting

Remove and reinsert your SIM. Contact SMARTY support through the app or website. SMARTY's customer service is entirely online and typically responds quickly via chat.
Confirm APN is smarty.co.uk and it's selected. No username or password is needed. Check your SMARTY plan is active and has remaining data. SMARTY's refund model means data resets monthly, so if you've just topped up check the data shows as available in the app.
SMARTY uses Three's MMS infrastructure. MMSC should be http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc, proxy mms.three.co.uk, port 8799. If the hostname proxy causes issues, try leaving it blank and using only the MMSC URL.
Contact SMARTY support via the app. SMARTY's online support team is responsive and can disable OTA configuration if needed.
Verify MCC 234 and MNC 20 (Three's identifiers). SMARTY is owned by Three but uses its own APN — the network identifiers remain Three's. Protocol should be IPv4/IPv6.
