iD Mobile is a UK MVNO operated by Currys (formerly Dixons Carphone), one of the UK's largest electronics retailers. iD Mobile runs on Three's network, giving it access to Three's 4G coverage and, on some plans, Three's 5G network. iD Mobile is particularly popular as a budget option for customers buying phones in Currys stores. iD Mobile's APN is simply id — one of the shortest APNs of any UK carrier. It shares Three's MMS infrastructure, so the MMSC URL and proxy are the same as Three's. iD Mobile currently offers 4G as standard, with 5G available on selected plans. No authentication credentials are required.

How to Set iD Mobile APN on Android

  1. Open Settings on your Android phone.
  2. Tap Connections (Samsung) or Network & Internet (stock Android / Pixel).
  3. Tap Mobile networks.
  4. Tap Access Point Names (APN).
  5. Tap the + (plus) button to add a new APN entry.
  6. Enter each value from the table above exactly as shown.
  7. Tap the ⋮ menu (three dots) then tap Save.
  8. Tap the radio button next to the new APN to select it.
  9. Restart your phone or toggle Aeroplane Mode on then off.

How to Set iD Mobile APN on iPhone / iOS

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Mobile Data (or Cellular).
  3. Tap Mobile Data Network (or Cellular Data Network).
  4. Under Mobile Data, enter the APN value shown in the table above.
  5. Scroll to the MMS section and enter the MMSC, MMS Proxy and MMS Port values.
  6. Press the Home button or swipe up — iOS saves automatically.
  7. Toggle Aeroplane Mode on for 10 seconds, then off.
  8. Test by opening a website in Safari.

Which Phones Do These Settings Work On?

iD Mobile APN settings work on all Android phones (Android 8+) and iPhones (iOS 14+). iD Mobile supports 4G on all plans and 5G on selected plans. For Android 12+: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Access Point Names.

iD Mobile APN Troubleshooting

Remove and reinsert your SIM. Try resetting network settings on your device. iD Mobile phones sold through Currys may come with pre-configured settings — check the box or documentation for the configuration SMS code.
The APN for iD Mobile is just the two letters id — no 'mobile', no '.co.uk'. This short APN catches many people out. Confirm it is selected and mobile data is on. Check your iD Mobile account for active data.
iD Mobile shares Three's MMS setup: MMSC is http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc, proxy is mms.three.co.uk, port is 8799. If your phone requires an IP address for the proxy, try leaving it blank and using only the MMSC URL.
Contact iD Mobile support through the iD Mobile app or website. Ask them to disable OTA configuration if settings keep reverting.
Verify MCC 234 and MNC 20 (Three's network identifiers). Wrong MNC is the most common cause. Set Protocol to IPv4/IPv6 for best compatibility.
